The needs, wants and goals of young people and adults change and evolve over time and we believe that our services must be flexible and able to meet these changes.
Mambourin has established and maintains multiple pathways into and through our range of services and supports including establishing connections across local communities to help support people at their different life stages.
Our new service delivery approaches provide individualised planning and support in the community, real choice, and viable pathways to employment and social participation through partnerships with local community services. We believe in taking our rightful place amid the broader community, and to this end our pathways include:
- Get READY (Get Respect, Empowerment, Achievement, and Development for Youth) program –a ‘transitional program’ which provides school leavers with an environment where they can ‘test the waters’ to decide their future, build friendships, enhance communication skills and mature further before moving on to employment, Day Service, or other life activities that suit their individual needs.
- STEP (Supported Transition to Employment Program) which ensures a greater focus on becoming ‘work ready’ and the development of vocationally geared skills to ensure that we are putting participants in the best position possible to obtain employment.
