My experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic

Tristan, SLES participant

Well hello everyone!!  It’s me your favourite pirate captain/ice king/whatever it is you would like to call me, I’m here to talk about my experiences during this awful worldwide pandemic so let’s go.

To start with let’s talk about the Teams program, the program itself is fine though sometimes it can be a bit slow due to forces outside of our control but otherwise there have been no problems on my end. At first it took a little bit of getting used to but now that I have got the hang of it I feel much better.

So far what we have been learning is interesting, we have mainly talked about how technology is all around us and we are also learning a lot about the workplace and the rules and systems that are in place.

So yeah overall my weeks and days have been okay, obviously there is a lot of bad stuff going on in the world but I feel like it’s important to keep your chin up and remember to treat others with human decency and respect.

Tristan is currently undertaking the School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) program with Mambourin. Tristan’s goal is to become a writer or a blogger and he has been working on developing his writing skills in the SLES program.
